Natural History Resources


Welcome to Natural History Resources! The aim of our site is to provide a compilation of electronic information which pertains to different aspects of Natural History.

At the moment we have three modules available:

Electronic Resources about Ornithology.

Articles, links and other sources of information on the world of birds - their ecology, behavior, distribution, etc. Included are several electronic versions of articles which first appeared in the New Brunswick Naturalist, and Bird Watcher's Digest.

There is also a small selection of bird images complete with background information about the species. Note: special section on the Brown Shrike and sightings of this bird in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Electronic Resources about Lepidoptera.

Articles, links and other sources of information of the world of Butterflies and Moths - their ecology, behavior, distribution, etc. Included are several articles on butterflies from the New Brunswick Naturalist. There is also a growing archive of lepidoptera images complete with background information about the species.

Also stay tuned for a forthcoming module of information on the Butterflies of New Brunswick. This will include information on distribution, abundance, flying times and food plants as well as information on historical change of butterflies.

Electronic Resources about Coleoptera.

Articles, links and other sources of information of the world of Beetles. - their ecology, behavior, distribution, etc. There will soon be a module on beetles on Halifax, Nova Scotia, complete with an extensive photo archive.
